Knowledgeable Staff
FrameMakers was founded by Barbour Strickland. Prior to founding FrameMakers, Barbour was an art museum director for 14 years. He is expertly qualified and knowledgeable in archival/museum materials and techniques and in framing fine art. He assists customers with their custom framing needs and also designs and builds all of our custom designed frames.
Hand-Crafted Frames
If you want a special frame, one that is not an "off-the-rack" frame that every framer carries, let us design one for you. We built our framing business by creating hand-crafted frames. We use the coloring and design elements of the artwork as our guide to produce a unique frame that is made specifically for your picture.
Our framing philosophy for custom designed frames is as follows:
- The picture is the star, not the frame.
- The frame should be an extension of the picture.
- The frame should not distract the eye.

Not only will your order be completed when scheduled, we’ll do whatever it takes to ensure your satisfaction. For
example, if you need us to hang your framed piece for you, we’ll be glad to come to your home or business and do so.
If your framed piece is too large for you to transport, we’ll deliver it to you.
